“For the first time in the history of the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes we have exceeded the threshold of one thousand wines in competition. This is a fact that, in addition to making us proud of the growing importance that the competition is assuming, testifies to the growing interest in viticulture that operates in difficult and impervious territories – declares Nicola Abbrescia , President of CERVIM –. The wines that are produced in these heroic areas show an increasingly higher quality year after year, with peaks of excellence that our tasting commissions recognize and appreciate in blind tastings”.

At the same time, the fourth edition of the Extreme Spirits International Contest took place, an international competition dedicated to distillates from grape marc, lees and wine that also aims to enhance the respective production areas. Excellent results were obtained: 8 Grand Gold Medals and 25 Gold Medals were awarded among the 76 competing distillates from Italy, Switzerland, Peru and Spain.
