Cantina Tollo Group: the 10 Shades of Pecorino Grapes roadshow kicks off to promote pecorino around the world

A series of events scheduled in Europe, Asia and America will tell the story of the grape variety and its expressions to the international public.

Cantina Tollo Group presents the 10 Shades of Pecorino Grapes roadshow, the new format created by the company with the aim of telling an international audience about pecorino , a variety that expresses itself at its best and with all its potential in Abruzzo.

During the year, numerous stops of the roadshow are scheduled in the USA , Canada , Japan , Vietnam , the United Kingdom , the Czech Republic , Russia , Kazakhstan , Azerbaijan and Poland . During the guided tastings reserved for the press and international industry professionals, it will be possible to explore all the best expressions of pecorino, from sparkling wine to spontaneously fermented organic still wine, through heroic viticulture at 800 metres above sea level and refinement in amphorae. In fact, there are ten products produced with this variety in the company’s portfolio, among the first to enhance its grapes and experiment with different winemaking methods.

“We are among the first producers to have believed in the potential of this grape variety – explains Sandro Ciavattella , general manager of Cantina Tollo – and with 10 Shades of Pecorino Grapes we want to present to international markets all the possible interpretations of this marvelous variety, capable of meeting the contemporary tastes of consumers who are increasingly oriented towards long-lived, fresh and versatile white wines”.

The products produced with Cantina Tollo pecorino grapes have in fact seen significant growth in international markets : in the last two years there has been an increase in sales volumes of 26% . 20% of the pecorino sold is organic: “It is a unique product – continues Ciavattella – which is increasingly meeting requests for wines from typical and native white grapes”.

10 Shades of Pecorino Grapes kicked off in Milan with the first Italian stop and, after a series of events abroad, will end in Rome during 2025.
