Vinitaly: Consorzio Italia del Vino and Luiss Business School together to train future wine managers

An innovative master born from companies: 5 modules, 4 months of training and 3 months of internship for 20 participants. Hiring in companies for the best students.

The Consorzio Italia del Vino in collaboration with Luiss Business School announces the launch of the Wine Business Program 2025, an innovative educational path created to train young talents destined to cover strategic roles in Italian wine companies.

The program is aimed at graduates and university students, including undergraduates, motivated to build a career in the world of wine and aims to bridge the gap between academia and business , providing skills that are immediately usable in the job market.

“The project – emphasizes Roberta Corrà , President of Italia del Vino – intends to respond to a current criticality of the sector, the lack of specialized managerial figures, offering a concrete solution through an excellent program capable of combining international vision, academic rigor and experience in the field. The result of several years of work, the plan that we have created together with the professors of the Luiss Business School represents a virtuous model of collaboration between universities and businesses, oriented towards the growth of young people and the competitiveness of the Italian wine sector on global markets”.

The proposal will consist of 4 months of classroom training at the Luiss Business School in Rome. The teaching modules in English will focus on viticulture, oenology, marketing, export, sustainability, digitalization and innovation with the integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence applied to the wine sector, practical workshops and wine tasting sessions. It will conclude with a three-month internship within the companies of the Consorzio Italia del Vino.

“This collaboration combines academic rigor and concrete application,” says Rita Carisano, General Director of the Luiss Guido Carli University, former Director of Confindustria Verona. “With the Wine Business Program 2025 we intend to train professionals with strategic vision, transversal skills and sensitivity to the innovation dynamics that are transforming the wine sector. The partnership with Italia del Vino demonstrates our commitment to making training a driver of economic and social development, through courses designed to impact the production fabric in a tangible and lasting way but above all by offering a real opportunity for employment.”

The project is supported by a network of technical partners who share its goals and is open to new collaborations. During the entire duration of the course, students will be hosted in Rome on the Luiss Business School campus and in facilities identified by companies during the internships. At the end of the course, the best candidates selected by a commission of experts and representatives of the sector will be able to access a fixed-term employment contract in one of the companies of the Consortium, transforming training into a concrete professional opportunity.
