The shared passion for wine and for true relationships has always reigned supreme in the sincere friendship between Lamberto Frescobaldi and Marco de Grazia, to which was added the desire to create something together, a dream they have nurtured for 35 years. Today that dream has become a real collaboration with Marchesi Frescobaldi becoming a minority partner of Tenuta delle Terre Nere, Etna. A place with a unique strength, breath and primordial energy. And so Marco De Grazia and Lamberto Frescobaldi have decided to carry forward together the beautiful Sicilian project that Marco created in 2002.
“For decades Lamberto and I have shared time, friendship, and of course wine after wine – and the joys and sorrows of our children growing up together in the same school” – these are the words of Marco de Grazia, owner of Tenuta delle Terre Nere, who adds – “Chance gave us a push. Our shared visions too. The gears began to turn, first with hesitation, then with enthusiasm. And the friendship became something more: a shared passion and drive for higher goals, the desire to give shape to a clear and common intuition, and finally translate it all into increasingly ambitious and fine wines. Together”.
“For me, Marco De Grazia represented an authentic point of reference” – says Lamberto Frescobaldi, President of Gruppo Marchesi Frescobaldi, who continues – “In the early 90s, shortly after my marriage, we shared many evenings and many bottles of wine opened together. In those moments I listened attentively to every word he said: his constant search for finesse in wines, his contagious energy, the clarity of his vision.”
