From 12 to 26 April, a journey through rites and senses, around a wine with an ancient soul: the fifteenth edition of DiVinNosiola returns to celebrate the territory and native excellences.
All set for DiVinNosiola, the event that celebrates the Valle dei Laghi through its history, its flavors and its flagship: Nosiola, the only native white grape variety of Trentino. Awaiting visitors is a rich program of culture, guided tastings, trekking in nature and, for the first time, an original train tour among the cellars: to discover the uniqueness of Vino Santo Trentino DOC, a Slow Food presidium, and Vino Nosiola.
The air is filled with the sweetness of raisins, which offer a taste of the inebriating flavors of this territory, and which is soon followed by the aromatic notes of Vino Santo, the undisputed protagonist of the celebratory event of the food and wine jewels of the Valle dei Laghi. DiVinNosiola returns full of novelties with its fifteenth edition, from April 12 to 26: a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in an ancient wine-growing and wine-making tradition made of patient gestures and knowledge handed down, where each bottle contains the breath of the earth and the slow time of transformation.
An enchanting territory nestled between Lake Garda and Trento, north of the Sarche area, an ancient bed of the Adige River and today a natural oasis where the turquoise of the lakes embraces the green of the lush orchards and vineyards, the Valle dei Laghi is the evocative backdrop to an event dedicated to its identity so intimately linked to the production of two types of Nosiola winemaking, the only historic-native white grape variety in Trentino. These are the fresh and delicate Vino Nosiola, with an elegantly fruity aroma reminiscent of freshly picked hazelnuts, and the prized Vino Santo Trentino DOC, a Slow Food presidium, which stands out for its elegance and aromatic complexity with its refined sweet notes of honey, apricot and spices. An authentic meditation wine, the latter is also known as the “passito of passiti”, thanks to its long and meticulous production process. The Nosiola grapes are left to dry naturally for months on racks, called aréle in the local dialect, caressed by the constant blowing of the wind that descends from the Brenta Dolomites and the “Ora del Garda”, the gentle breeze that crosses the Valle dei Laghi from Lake Garda. What makes it unique is the development of noble molds inside the bunches, which favor an extraordinary sugar concentration, giving the wine an unmistakable flavor.
This cultural heritage is kept alive with determination by the Associazione Vignaioli del Vino Santo Trentino DOC, which brings together six agricultural companies, each of which interprets it with a unique and unmistakable style. There are many events to rediscover it, starting with the unmissable Rito della spremitura, scheduled for Saturday 12 April, a collective event that has brought the community together for time immemorial during Holy Week for the symbolic transition from drying to winemaking. And again, to get to know Vino Santo and Vino Nosiola in depth, unmissable guided tastings such as “Gustodivino” and the masterclass “Passione Passito”, both with the participation of the famous sommelier Giuseppe Carrus of Gambero Rosso. The rich program also includes: a new carriage itinerary aboard the Nosiola Express, the Vino Santo Train with new visits to the cellars in the company of the winemakers, embellished with the delicacies prepared by the chefs of the Slow Food Alliance; moments dedicated to art, entertainment and music, and pleasant wine tourism excursions, including exclusive trekking dedicated to biodiversity with foraging activities, to discover the most suggestive corners of the territory among castles, lakes, meadows and vineyards.

From the Rite of Squeezing to the Table: Tastings That Tell a Story of Excellence
The inauguration of this fifteenth edition will be the Rito della Spremitura, which will take place at the Azienda Agricola F.lli Pisoni in Pergolese, on Saturday 12 April, in collaboration with the Confraternita della Vite e del Vino. An extraordinary opportunity to meet that tells of collective traditions and shared flavours that allows you to witness the ritual passage from the drying to the vinification of Vino Santo, the fruit of work, time and dedication, as well as a precious symbol of the territory.
On Thursday 17th, at Palazzo Roccabruna in Trento, the Masterclass “From Nosiola to Vino Santo” will be held, with Aurora Endrici, an expert in wine communication. The Enoteca provinciale del Trentino will host participants so they can discover the many variations of the white grape variety Nosiola and Vino Santo Trentino DOC. Three vintages of Vino Santo and three Nosiola will be paired, during the tasting, with typical Trentino products, to fully savor this territory.
On Thursday 24th, at the Giovanni Poli farm in S.Massenza, in the company of sommelier Giuseppe Carrus of Gambero Rosso and vice-curator of the Vini d’Italia guide, the Masterclass “Passione Passito” will be held, a fascinating journey through the history, aromas and flavours of Vino Santo Trentino, in which to taste six historic vintages of this delicacy – one for each winery that produces it -; and “Gustodivino”, a signature food and wine journey through Nosiola wines, Vino Santo and Trentino cuisine creatively interpreted by chef Walter Miori. In an informal and friendly atmosphere, open to both connoisseurs and the curious, the winemakers will offer a new taste experience, recounting the versatility of the native Nosiola.
