OPEN CELLARS IN SAN MARTINO: A JOURNEY THROUGH NEW WINE, NEW OIL AND AWARENESS

Many activities and experiences are proposed from 3 to 11 November: the wineries of the Umbria Wine Tourism Movement are ready to welcome wine tourists and involve them in this autumn celebration.

Wine is born, the party explodes ” is the slogan of Cantine Aperte a San Martino , an autumn event dedicated to lovers of wine and wine culture, scheduled from 3 to 11 November. Once again, the cellars of the Umbria Wine Tourism Movement will open their doors, to discover the new wine and new oil along with many other products that the area has to offer this season.

This year’s edition is intertwined with a message of responsibility, thanks to the coincidence with the ” Wine in Moderation Day “, which will be celebrated on November 8. This day, supported by Unione Italiana Vini and Wine in Moderation together with the Movimento Turismo del Vino, aims to raise awareness among participants about the conscious consumption of wine, promoting the theme “The best wine? Numerous and engaging activities are proposed for this edition. Among those scheduled, the Dionigi winery on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 hosts the “ArteMagnum” initiative: during these days you can watch the pictorial decoration of double magnum ceramic bottles by six international artists. The event culminates with a dinner on Saturday evening, November 9, dedicated to tasting wine and new oil, with chestnuts, bonfires and live music. While the La Fonte winery will be open for visits and tastings on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November from 11 am to 9 pm with chestnuts, bruschetta with new organic oil and mulled wine, the Roccafiore winery , from Monday 4 to Friday 8 and Monday 11 November, is offering the “Blind Tasting” initiative, a blind tasting of new and old vintages. At the Chiesa del Carmine winery , on Sunday 3 and Sunday 11 November, the arrival of San Martino will be celebrated with lunch in the winery, while on Saturday 9, the classic pizza will be eaten with Pizza Night. At the Carini farm , Saturday 9th, the shop is open until late (10am-1pm/3pm-9pm) and the feast of San Martino will be held from 4pm to 9pm.
